Basic Policy against Customer Harassment
TS Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") values providing sincere and fair services to its customers.
At the same time, we believe it is an important responsibility of the company to ensure a safe and secure working environment for our employees.
Based on the philosophy of the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Ordinance for the Prevention of Customer Harassment" enacted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we have established the following basic policy regarding customer harassment (hereinafter referred to as "customer harassment") within our company.
1. Definition of Customer Harassment
In accordance with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Customer Harassment Countermeasures Manual for Companies," the Company defines the following behaviors as customer harassment:
- Physical attacks (assault, injury)
- Mental attacks (threats, slander, defamation, insults, verbal abuse)
- Intimidating words and actions
- Demands for bowing in apology
- Continuous (repeated) and persistent (nagging) words and actions
- Restraining behavior (refusal to leave, loitering, confinement)
- Discriminatory words and actions
- Sexual words and actions
- Attacks or demands directed at individual employees
- Slander and defamation on social media and the internet
- Demands for product exchange or monetary compensation without legitimate reason
- Demands for apologies beyond a reasonable scope
2. Policy on Responding to Customer Harassment
To protect its employees, the Company will respond firmly in the event of customer harassment, as follows:
- While we will engage in discussions aimed at a reasonable resolution, if we determine the customer harassment to be malicious, we may refuse to respond.
- For acts deemed more malicious (violence, threats, obstruction of business, etc.), we will cooperate with external specialized agencies such as the police and lawyers, and take strict measures, including legal action.
- For crime prevention and accurate record-keeping, we may record telephone conversations and in-store interactions, as well as keep records of our responses.
3. Request to Customers
While we have built good relationships with many customers, if any of the above behaviors are observed, we will respond based on this policy.
We will continue to strive to build a relationship where customers and employees respect each other, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
